BRING YOUR SANTA HATS!

Good afternoon to all families.

Please have your child bring in their Santa Hat tomorrow to keep at school until Friday. It would be great if you could label the hat with your child's name or Family name (or put in a labelled bag).

A friendly reminder that St. Anne's Primary Christmas Concert is this Friday December 20th at 9:30 am. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Wish you a safe and happy holiday.
Merry Christmas to all!

Introducing, Star of the Week!

Star of the Week
Image result for star of the week clipart
Beginning in November, we are introducing a new activity called “Star of the Week”.  Each week a different student will bring home the “Star of the Week” bag. Students are asked to create a poster using the enclosed “Star of the Week” page, as well as, pictures of themselves with family members/pets, on trips, playing sports, etc.  Along with the poster, students are welcome to bring in other items they may wish to share (i.e. sports memorabilia, ribbons, special certificates, etc.). The final task of the “Star of the Week” is to choose their favourite book and bring it in to be read to the class. The “Star of the Week” bag will be sent home the week prior and all items are to be brought to school on the assigned Monday.

Please help us make this activity a hit by assisting your child as they gather their special items and write/draw about themselves.  It is sure to be an exciting opportunity for the students to share about their interests, talents, and families with one another!
Look for the weekly schedule to be sent home Thursday, November 14th.

A note about unfinished work, absences, and mail.

Good evening,

I wanted to notify all families that if your child comes home with unfinished work, it is to be completed at home and returned the next day. It may not be written in their agenda each time, but please know this is the expectation.

If your child is absent, the work for the day will be collected and they are responsible to catch up on the missed work. I am always willing to make time to help each student with the work they have missed if needed. Missed tests, quizzes, and assessments will be made up following your child's return to school.

Please check your child's agenda and mail bag each day to ensure you receive all notes, forms, and information.

Here are the Word Wall Words that we will be focusing on for our first full week:

I encourage you to practice them at home by reading them, writing them, and using them in different sentences!
