A note about unfinished work, absences, and mail.

Good evening,

I wanted to notify all families that if your child comes home with unfinished work, it is to be completed at home and returned the next day. It may not be written in their agenda each time, but please know this is the expectation.

If your child is absent, the work for the day will be collected and they are responsible to catch up on the missed work. I am always willing to make time to help each student with the work they have missed if needed. Missed tests, quizzes, and assessments will be made up following your child's return to school.

Please check your child's agenda and mail bag each day to ensure you receive all notes, forms, and information.

Week #1 Word Wall Words

I am proud to say that we have a had a fabulous start to our school year. I enjoyed meeting so many wonderful families last week in addition to welcoming each of your children into the second grade. Our classroom is full of energy and excitement and I cannot wait to see our learning journey continue to unfold each day.

Here are the Word Wall Words that we will be focusing on for our first full week:
1. they
2. said
3. was
4. have
5. because

I encourage you to practice them at home by reading them, writing them, and using them in different sentences!

Each week, we will introduce a new set of five words and at the end of each week there will be a quiz. Please note that if there is a PD day or holiday that falls at the end of a week, the quiz will take place on the Thursday instead of the Friday.
